Your Summer Assignment:
1.
Write a two-page essay on each of
the three books you are reading during the summer.
Take
into account, as you write your essay, the questions on the
back of this page. Use this to help you write your essay.
Do not write just a summary of the book. Write your own
essay. Be sure to include in your essay your answer to
Question #10: What lesson did I learn from, reading this
book? This should be your concluding paragraph.
This will be collected by your teacher on the first full day
of school, September 12. Your three assignments will be
included in the first Marking Period.
Do not wait to the last week of the summer to do these
assignments. Space them out so that you can enjoy your
reading.

story affect the main character?

What are the themes of this book? Is it a book
about friendship, love, family, loss, discovery, or
growing up?
8.
How do the different themes affect the plot?

What lesson did the main character learn by
the end of the book?
10.What lesson did I learn from reading this book?
